About Me

I am the provider of the AHF Healthcare Center: Valley. The evolution of HIV medicine has been a personal and professional interest of mine for decades. I chose to work for AHF because I believe I can offer my knowledge and unique perspective as a nurse practitioner. At a time in the late 80's when advanced HIV disease was commonly seen in the LA County regions, I took note of the injustice in care. I seek career development with a well-respected company that will foster my current endeavors. I speak Spanish, I have an interest in travel missions, and I’ve experienced 13 rewarding trips to Jamaica with an integrative medicine organization. With parents from Jamaica, I know firsthand how intolerant the nation is when it comes to sexuality and sexual expression.

Fun Fact: I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I am a marathoner. I participate in full and half marathons, and I compete in endurance events whenever possible to raise awareness of teenage cancer. As a lifelong learner, I am passionate about HIV and changes to HIV care and medicine.
