About Me

I work for the AHF Healthcare Center - Jackson. After doing a clinical rotation in Nurse Practitioner school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's HIV clinic. I found my passion for caring for people living with HIV. I began my career in HIV medicine in 2006 working with pregnant HIV positive women and perinatally acquired HIV positive children. I then transitioned to the adult HIV clinic, and also ran a co-infection clinic for HIV and Hepatitis C for 6 years. I have been employed at AIDS Healthcare Foundation for 5 years, and taking care of my clients is the most rewarding job I have ever had. Helping patients work through the fear surrounding an HIV diagnosis, and providing support, hope and encouragement throughout their journey drives me to provide the best possible care to each of my clients. AHF's mission to provide quality care regardless of ability to pay is demonstrated on a daily basis. I am proud to work for AHF, as I have never worked for an organization that fought so hard for the rights, access to treatment, and to break the stigma of HIV in our community. AHF has definitely been such a great asset to Jackson, Mississippi, as we continue our daily fight on HIV disease.

Fun Fact: I am married with two children. My hobbies include kayaking the rivers in Mississippi camping, exploring new destinations, and spending time with family and friends.
