About Me

Katherine White, DNP, FNP-BC, AAHIVS, is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at AHF's Atlanta Healthcare Center (Peachtree). She has five years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Dr. White earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in 2018, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Emory University in 2019. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Chamberlain University in 2022. She has also completed post-graduate training as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

She is licensed to practice in Georgia and is credentialed as an HIV Specialist™ (AAHIVS) by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Dr. White is a two-time recipient of the Barbara Vick Impact Award in recognition of her dedication and contributions to patient care.

Dr. White's journey into HIV medicine began through a close friend who introduced her to an opportunity in HIV care. That experience led her to discover a passion for serving people living with HIV, and she has remained committed to the field ever since.

She built her foundation in HIV medicine at Positive Impact Health Centers before joining AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Dr. White chose AHF because she wanted to continue caring for a community that reflects the people she knows and identifies with. She believes that direct clinical care is where healthcare professionals can make the greatest impact on patients' lives.

At AHF Peachtree, she is proud to serve a diverse, complex, underserved, and minority population. Her goal is to ensure every patient has access to compassionate, professional, and high-quality healthcare in an environment where they feel respected and supported.

Outside of work, Dr. White enjoys traveling, exploring museums, and visiting local botanical gardens. She is also passionate about music and especially enjoys attending concerts. Throughout the year, she participates in volunteer activities through organizations with which she is actively involved, reflecting her ongoing commitment to serving her community.
