About Me

I am the Medical Director of the AHF Healthcare Center Carolina, in Puerto Rico.  My passion for the field of HIV started at an early age when having the virus was practically a death sentence. So many lives were lost--people who did not get the chance of having access to the amazing treatment options that we have today. I've always been fascinated by the way that microorganisms can impact our health, and how to treat these diseases was always my dream. During my fellowship years, I had the opportunity to care for patients living with HIV and to witness their progress and return to living a normal life is just an amazing experience. Throughout my medical career I’ve always been an advocate of ending the stigma and discrimination against patients living with the virus and to help them achieve a normal, prosperous life is a professional accomplishment. 

Fun Fact: I love traveling around the world, meeting different people and experiencing different cultures. I also enjoy cooking.
