Dr. Daniel (Dora) Herrador, MD

About Me

I am the Doctor of Dental Surgery of the AHF Healthcare Centers: Oakland and San Francisco. As an openly out, non-binary, LGBTQ, Latinx family medicine provider, I have always been interested in serving any and all underserved and vulnerable populations. To better support patients living with HIV, I completed a specialization through the American Academy of HIV Medicine in 2020. I also provide general primary care and gender-affirming care. My goal is to deliver evidence-based medicine while honoring each patient’s history, including what has and hasn’t worked for them, and to provide care in a safe, inclusive environment.

While our patients come from many different backgrounds, our care is united by a shared commitment to the best possible, evidence-based treatment for everyone. I use a trauma-informed lens in all patient interactions. AHF has long been a leader in HIV care and research, and I’m honored to serve as Medical Director for the Oakland and San Francisco AHF clinics.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing in LGBTQ+ recreational sports leagues such as kickball and softball.
