Sarah Zuercher

About Me

I am the provider of the AHF Healthcare Center: Brooklyn. I chose to practice HIV medicine in part because of the health disparities that exist within HIV prevention and treatment. People who face the largest barriers to healthcare should receive the best possible care. I work at AHF because I appreciate the innovative strategies the organization uses to provide excellent care to all patients.
Before coming to AHF I worked at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York. I spent six years traveling throughout NYC in a Mobile Health Center providing HIV prevention clinical services, as well as sexual and reproductive healthcare, to people who face barriers to accessing care in traditional settings. I am especially interested in how HIV impacts cis-and-transgender women and people who use drugs.

My specialty is sexual and reproductive health. I love working with patients to make sure they have healthcare that enables them to have fulfilling sexual and reproductive lives. I speak Spanish and very rusty Arabic.

Fun Fact: I am an obsessive surfer. I travel the world and the beaches of Rockaway in search of good waves. I also love playing board games and card games with my two kids and taking early morning walks in Prospect Park with my dog.
