About Me

I am the Healthcare Provider of the AHF Healthcare Center - Jackson North. I like to practice HIV medicine because taking into account that HIV used to be considered an almost universally fatal disease but advances in diagnosis and treatment have transformed HIV into a manageable chronic health problem. It piques my sense of fulfillment being able to assist patients with those new advancements and having the ability to offer alternatives. I chose to work at AHF because my values align with AHF's principles: cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay, patient-centered care, respect for diversity, and to fight for what's right.

Fun Fact: During my ten years of working as an emergency doctor in Spain, I learned countless life lessons during this period of my career understanding that compassion can be as powerful as any technical skill and that caring and compassion often are the most powerful forces for healing. I'm passionate about literature, good music, I adore animals, and respect the value of family.
