Dan Nguyen, M.D.

About Me

I am the medical director of the AHF Healthcare Center: Dallas Market Center. Since my freshmen year of high school, it’s been my dream to become a physician who cares for, understands, and serves as a role model for the LGBTQ+ community. As a resident intern, I volunteered at a local STI Clinic in Austin, Texas on my days off. I continued to volunteer there and eventually worked full-time. It was there that I cultivated a sex-positive attitude toward health and wellness, as well as, an understanding of providing care to people living with HIV/AIDS.

In addition, I am well-versed in transgender, non-binary, and gender-affirming care including hormone therapy. I am also experienced with curative treatments for Hepatitis, and Buprenorphine for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

As a Dallas native, moving back from Austin to join AHF, continuing my career in HIV Medicine, and spending more time with my nieces and nephews feels like the easiest decision I’ve ever made!

Fun Fact: My Bachelor’s degree is in computer science, so I’m a huge technology nerd! I spend my time reading tech blogs, MotorTrend car reviews, and jogging. Actually, I ran my first Half Marathon in 2021 and finished in a cute pair of pink stilettos!
