About Me

I am the Provider of the AHF Healthcare Center: Orlando. In my 22 years as a nurse, working with the LGBTQ+ population has always been a passion of mine in and out of the healthcare setting. I have also lost many friends to this condition and that is why I want to give back to our community. AHF has always been at the forefront in helping our community and for me to be a part of that is a privilege and an honor. I want to help the LGBTQ+ community and help stop the spread of HIV. I not only want to educate, care for and help all those affected, I want to hopefully one day help be a part of a cure. As a provider for AHF, I will give everything I have to help each person in our clinic and community overcome challenges and obstacles in getting the best care. Since becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020, I began working with those affected with HIV as well as those living with Hepatitis C and have witnessed many of those Hep-C patients cured and on their way to a healthier lifestyle.

Fun Fact: I was born and raised in southern Indiana. I started my nursing career as an LPN in Louisville, Kentucky and 11 years later moved to Sarasota, Florida and returned to school to get my Associates of Science in Nursing as a Registered Nurse, continuing on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the State College of Florida in 2017. I then returned to school in the fall of 2017 and began my journey to becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, becoming certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020. I am currently working on my Doctorate of Nursing Practice. I moved to Orlando and started working here at AHF. I have my amazing cat Izzy, which is 12 years old. I enjoy traveling, working out, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering in the community for LGBTQ+ equality and HIV prevention. I love helping people--love being a nurse!-- and am excited to start my new beginning here with my new work family at AHF’s Orlando HCC.
