About Me

I am the Healthcare Medical Director of the AHF Healthcare Center - Safety Harbor. My interest in treating HIV patients began in residency and significantly increased as an Academic Hospitalist when I noticed a severe knowledge gap in the residency program for something that I knew well and has been so prominent in many aspects of my personal life. In 2017, I worked for an LGBTQ community clinic where I started treating patients living with HIV. There, I also had the opportunity to acquire extensive experience delivering health care to transgender and non-binary populations and patients. During that time, I gave several lectures on the delivery of care to HIV and LGBTQ patients to audiences of residents and other physicians at several institutions including Penn Medicine. In 2018, I became trained in high resolution anoscopy.

Fun Fact: I am known to be a plant enthusiast. During the pandemic, I started a community garden in 3 abandoned lots in Philadelphia and was featured in the newspaper for Gorilla Gardening. I was awarded a grant in college to finance a CDC research trip where I also took the opportunity to hike to Machu Picchu. Gardening, reading, comic book collector, striving cyclist, love to travel and anything outdoors. I performed in a modern dance company for 4 years during College.
